3(c) Educational Qualification:
To apply for BSF Head Constable RO RM 2025, candidates must meet the prescribed educational qualification which are as follows:
For HC (RO)
- 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) from a recognized board, OR
- Matriculation + 2 years ITI in Radio & TV, Electronics, Computer Operator, Programming Assistant, Data Entry Operator, or similar trades.
For HC (RM)
- 12th pass with PCM from a recognized board, OR
- Matriculation + 2 years ITI in Radio & TV, Electronics, Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Computer Operator, Programming Assistant, etc.
🎯 Eligibility for Special Categories
- Ex-Servicemen: Must have retired with equivalent/higher rank in Army/Navy/Air Force with minimum matriculation qualification.
- Compassionate Appointment Candidates: Only wards of deceased/retired BSF personnel can apply. They must qualify PET/PST/Dictation/Medical.
- Serving BSF Personnel (LDCE Quota): Must have 3 years of regular service & matriculation qualification. Maximum age: 35 years.
3(d) Physical Standards:
To be eligible for Head Constable RO/RM 2025, candidates must meet the prescribed Physical Standards as mentioned below:
- Height: Male – 168 cm, Female – 157 cm (relaxable for certain categories)
- Chest (Male): 80–85 cm (expanded)
- Weight: Proportionate to height & age
