The selection of candidates for Delhi High Court Junior Judicial Assistant (JJA) Recruitment 2026 will be conducted through four stages, as detailed below:
🔹 Stage I: Preliminary Examination (CBT – Qualifying)
- Mode: Computer Based Test (Objective Type)
- Total Questions: 120
- Total Marks: 120
- Duration: 120 Minutes
- Negative Marking: 25% (0.25 mark deducted for each wrong answer)
Exam Pattern:
- English Language & Comprehension – 45 Questions (45 Marks)
- General Awareness / Knowledge & Current Affairs – 45 Questions (45 Marks)
- General Intelligence, Reasoning & Numerical Ability – 30 Questions (30 Marks)
Qualifying Marks:
- General Category: 60 Marks (50%)
- Reserved Category & PwBD: 54 Marks (45%)
Candidates up to 15 times the category-wise vacancies will be shortlisted for Stage II.
🔹 Stage II: Main Examination (Descriptive)
- Language: English
- Total Marks: 100
- Duration: 120 Minutes
Paper Structure:
- Part A: Essay (250 words – 40 Marks) + Letter Writing (10 Marks)
- Part B: Grammar (30 Marks) + Translation (25 words – 20 Marks)
Minimum Qualifying Marks:
- General Category: 50 Marks (50%)
- Reserved Category & PwBD: 45 Marks (45%)
Candidates up to 6 times the category-wise vacancies will be called for Stage III.
🔹 Stage III: English Typing Test (Qualifying)
- Duration: 10 Minutes
- Required Speed: 35 Words Per Minute on Computer
- Evaluation Basis: Characters with spaces
- Permissible Errors: Up to 3% of total words typed
All qualified candidates will be shortlisted for the Interview stage.
🔹 Stage IV: Interview
- Total Marks: 15
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: As decided by Delhi High Court
📌 Final Merit List
- The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined marks of Stage II (Main Examination) and Stage IV (Interview) only.
- Stage I (Preliminary Exam) and Stage III (Typing Test) are qualifying in nature.
- No rounding off of marks will be allowed at any stage.
