3: RRC WCR Apprentice Recruitment 2025: Eligibility Criteria

3(a) Age Limit (as on 20/08/2025)

    • Minimum age required: 15 years
    • Maximum age allowed: 24 years
    • The candidate must not have completed 24 years of age as on 20 August 2025.
    • Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories and other eligible groups as per government rules.

Important Note for Reservation Claims:

  • Ex-servicemen or their children must show a discharge certificate or relevant service certificate of the parent during document verification.

3(c) Educational Qualification:

The minimum educational qualification required for RRC WCR Apprentice Recruitment 2025 is given below for all candidates applying for the apprentice posts.

  • The applicant must have successfully passed the 10th Class (Matriculation) examination or its equivalent under the 10+2 system.
  • A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Class 10th is required. (Important: Marks will not be rounded off.)

7: Mode of Selection – RRC WCR Apprentice Recruitment 2025

  • The selection process for RRC WCR Apprentice Recruitment 2025 will be based purely on a merit list.

  • The merit list will be prepared by calculating the average marks of Class 10th (10+2 system) and ITI/Trade examination.

  • Merit will be created trade-wise, division/unit-wise, and community-wise, depending on the candidate’s preference.

  • The stipend amount will vary depending on the trade and duration of training.

  • Important Note: No hostel or accommodation facilities will be provided by the Railway. Candidates must arrange their own stay during the entire training period.

  • On successful completion of training, apprentices will be released as per the provisions of the Apprentices Act.
