For UPPSC GIC Lecturer Recruitment 2025, candidates must meet the following age criteria:

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 40 years (as on July 1, 2025)

5: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who wish to apply for the UPPSC GIC Lecturer (Male/Female) Examination 2025 must carefully go through the eligibility criteria before submitting their application form. The eligibility is defined on the basis of:

5(A): Age Limit

(A) Lecturer – GIC: Postgraduate in relevant subject + B.Ed (NCTE recognized).

(B) History Lecturer: Master’s in History + B.Ed (NCTE recognized).

(C) Botany/Zoology/Biology Lecturer: Master’s in respective subject + B.Ed.

(D) Psychology/Criminology Lecturer – Master’s in Psychology (Criminal/Social Pathology/Criminology) OR Sociology/Criminology/Social Work/Anthropology with Criminology & Penology; preference: Ph.D. & Hindi knowledge.

(E) Hindi/Urdu/Sanskrit Lecturer – Master’s in subject + Graduation in Arts (Hindi with Sanskrit) + B.Ed.

(F) Special Category (VI/HI) – Master’s in subject + Special B.Ed./M.Ed. (RCI) + Braille/Sign Language + RCI registration.

(G) UP Jail Training School Lecturer: As per U.P. Jail Training School Service Rules, 1985.

5(D): Reservation Rules

• Only U.P. domiciles eligible for reservation.

8: Mode of Selection – UPPSC Lecturer Recruitment 2025
